Combined Rural Traders's top choice foUrth year running
More than 30 staff from rural supplies company Combined Rural Traders (CRT) descended on Muresk Institute this week for their annual training workshop.
The group made the most of Muresk's extensive facilities, undertaking theory sessions in the conference room, watching product demonstrations in the shearing shed and unwinding at the end of the day with a game of cricket on the oval.
CRT Sales Manager Warwick Peatling said Muresk was recommended to CRT several years ago and they've never looked back in choosing Muresk as their annual training venue.
"Muresk is relatively central to our store locations and has specialised agricultural facilities in one location – the conference room is only a few hundred metres from the sheep yards," he said.
"The accommodation is always well-kept and all the Muresk staff are only too happy to help."
Warwick is a firm believer in offering training for staff and said apart from the technical product updates, the camaraderie that comes from being together for a couple days training is invaluable.
"A store network that knows each other and works well together can be very powerful.
"The fun and positivity surrounding an event like this can be just as inspiring for us as the actual learning of new things, products and selling techniques."
Muresk General Manager Prue Jenkins said she was pleased to welcome CRT back again this year.
"As WA's skills hub for modern agriculture, we have the infrastructure to best accommodate organisations like CRT who are broadening their skills and knowledge, we are delighted to have them back yet again."
